The
MANTRICS Workflow Manager relies on an advanced use of XML based
standards and, using a Web Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), controls
a suite of proprietary and third party applications running on
different hardware platforms. MANTRICS provides a single interface
through which those applications can perform complex production
procedures involving different departments (e.g. production,
administration and field engineering). Desktop search and browse,
through the internet or the company's intranet, bring content and
metadata closer to each user.
At
the very heart of the MANTRICS Workflow Manager, the workflow creation
and management page represents different workflows through a powerful
yet intuitive and easy-to-use node diagram. MANTRICS users can design
and implement their workflows, and all the assigned paths for different
media files; monitoring each scheduled or running process

the operations under the control of the MANTRICS Workflow Manager are
subject to a powerful and versatile user management system, which allows
the system administrator to establish access rights to resources &
automate tasks. The operational tasks are organized in the workflow
page, where node-based diagram represents a blueprint for the activities
yet to be performed. Each node is an activity to be performed. Once it
is executed, its completion activates the next note/activity of the
workflow. All the actions to be performed by each user are reported in
the convenient "To Do" page, which supports the segmentation and the
delocalization of the production process, making various different
skills available at the right time - without time or space constraints;
boosting productivity and ensuring best practice.
MANTRICS
allows the management and control of workflow, providing users with a
comprehensive suite of tools for different stages of the production

in any format, either controlling a VCR, or broadcast feed or through
watch-folders;

Check on media files as well as on video and audio signals;

creation: Automatic as well as Assisted thanks to time-saving customizable

search using the MANTRICS Catalog;

in any format;
- Creation
of new contents (cut only) by means of the internal video/audio
editor and generation of the corresponding EDL in several different
