Automatic
technical metadata creation is a key part of the ingest process. The
MANTRICS Workflow Manager enables an unlimited amount of metadata to be
aggregated to content at any time - during, after and even before the
ingestion. The process of adding metadata can be automatic or manual. In
addition, MANTRICS can extract and automatically place in the database
technical and descriptive metadata that are embedded in the file or
signal.
A sophisticated content analysis allows MANTRICS to extract
intrinsic signal properties (such as format, resolution, aspect ratio,
etc) and automatically activate tasks or simply address the content in a
specific process node.
Some
relevant metadata is already inserted in the MANTRICS architecture,
such as the Quality Control. Virtual keyboards can be easily configured
by end users, speeding up the process.
Sets
of multiple metadata can be added or changed once the content has been
ingested, making it possible to re-purpose content without re-ingesting
it and making the search more powerful.
MANTRICS
allows metadata personalization and offers templates for each specific
typology (e.g. sport, news, reality, etc). Metadata may include details
on resolution, aspect ratio, title of content, file format, standard and
format of the video, audio format, summary of contents.
In order to make the retrieval process faster and more
effective, metadata can also be assigned to specific sections of the
media file. Complex search rules can be saved in MANTRICS, to be reused
at later time.
Amongst the innovation features is the ability to add frames
grabbed either at user-defined time intervals or at a change of scene
to the metadata.
Thanks to the Create New Material option, while waiting for new specific contents, the user can create a metadata list to move his work forward.
