BrightDrive TxP is a high-speed, high-capacity, low-cost removable drive system for ingesting, offloading and transporting large data volumes and motion pictures. With the
ability to hold and offload high data volumes, including full-length motion pictures, at speeds up to 10 times greater than standard Firewire, BrightDrive TxP brings major cost savings to digital workflows by dramatically cutting media transfer times.

BrightDrive TxP uses industry standard hardware with Bright Systems’ BrightDrive Recording System. It provides significant advantages over film, tape, and Firewire drives,
including the ability to transfer media at real-time 2K, or 300 MB per second. This means, for example, that a 2-hour motion picture can be backed off or uploaded in approximately 2 hours instead of the long times required by Firewire-based devices.

BrightDrive TxP supports Raw files for Red Camera and all other Raw file formats. It is able to transport 2K and 4K scans from remote scan locations to production facilities.
Users benefit from reduced scanning fees, improved reliability, short-term archiving and the ability to restore at high speed.

Each TxP chassis holds up to 4 Transportable cartridges each, with capacities ranging from 1.5 to 3 TB, enabling users to ingest or off load up to 2 full-length motion pictures at a time. The system has a compact, high-tech construction with the drives specifically designed to ensure media can be shipped in a safe and secure environment between remote locations.
